Indiana Gaming Commission okays Gary casinos sale

Indiana gambling regulators have approved the sale of two casino licenses in Gary.
The Indiana Gaming Commission approved the sale of the Majestic Star Casino boats to Spectacle Gaming, which is led by former executives of Centaur Gaming, which sold Hoosier Park in Anderson and Indiana Grand in Shelbyville to Las Vegas-based Caesars Entertainment Corp. last year for $1.7 billion.
The company seeks approval from the state Legislature to relocate one casino elsewhere in Gary and the other to Terre Haute, which is where Spectacle co-owner Greg Gibson lives. No hearing on the matter has been scheduled.
