Scientific Games Corporation has announced that its efforts to guide full development of the instant product category in European markets are making an impact.

The Company received a new three-year contract from Lutrija Bosne i Hercegovine (Lottery), which experienced a 41% increase in instant game retail sales since the collaboration began in 2016. Through forward planning and effective execution of their game plans, many of Scientific Games’ 55 lottery customers in Europe are continuing to register higher than ever sales of instant games despite the challenges of the pandemic.

“We are still in the early phase of our partnership and have already produced tremendous results by applying Scientific Games’ best practices to continuously refine and improve key areas of our instant games. Our plans are to fully develop this product category which was relatively untapped until we began working together,” Edhem Pašukan, Director of Lutrija Bosne i Hercegovine, said.

Scientific Games teams collaborated with the Lottery to maximise the revenue potential of its instant games, restructuring prize packages and the entire game portfolio, and creating new game concepts. One of the favourites among players in Bosnia is Jackpot, a higher price point game with a key symbol match for the main game and three bonus games with 50KM, 100KM or 500KM prizes.

“We congratulate Lutrija Bosne i Hercegovine on its vision and the growth achieved thus far, and we are honored to help guide them toward a fully developed instant product category. As we continue our work with European lotteries to share best practices on game design, portfolio management, logistics and retailer services, Lutrija Bosne i Hercegovine is a great example of the results that can be achieved by partnering with Scientific Games,” John Schulz, Senior VP of Instant Products for Scientific Games, said.

Software developer will be renamed Stakelogic Serbia with the division moving into new offices in Belgrade later this year as slot provider strengthens in-house capabilities

Stakelogic, one of the most in-demand online casino content creators in the world, has acquired Serbia-based software developer Smart&Applied DOO in order to further enhance and grow its in-house game development capacity.

Smart&Applied was founded by Igor Marinkovic as a game development studio. The company has been working with Stakelogic for the past three years, making it the ideal acquisition target for the fast-growing slot developer.

Following the acquisition, Smart&Applied will be rebranded to Stakelogic Serbia with Marinkovic appointed as General Manager of the division. The company will also move into a new, state-of-the-art office in the centre of Belgrade later this year.

Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO of Stakelogic, said: “The acquisition of Smart&Applied really strengthens our in-house development capacity and will allow us to continue to grow at pace while delivering new content to the market on a regular basis.

“Personally, I am really excited that Igor will be managing Stakelogic Serbia. We have become great friends over the years and his knowledge and experience is second to none. This really was a natural acquisition for us and one that I believe will deliver tremendous results over the coming years.”

Igor Marinkovic, General Manager of Stakelogic Serbia, said: “I am thrilled to become part of one of the fastest-growing game suppliers in the industry and to play my part in ensuring the business continues its rapid rise over the coming months and years.

“The relationship between Smart&Applied and Stakelogic has become incredibly strong as we have been working hand in hand on a daily basis for many years. An acquisition was the next obvious step, and I am pleased my team can continue to focus on game development under the Stakelogic name.”

Stakelogic is responsible for some of the most popular online casino content in the market with its games now live across more than 500 operators around the world. Last year it released 48 classic slots and video slots, many of which can be found in the top position of casino game lobbies.

The developer is ISO 27001 certified, and its games are certified in key markets including the UK, Malta and Romania.
