The Unit Invites Cameras Into New Dundalk Home as Life Coach David Brent Pays a Visit
This follows period of sustained growth and David advises on how to reach new levels of success
The Unit, the leader in nearshore product development for sports betting and iGaming, has marked the opening of a new commercial hub in Dundalk with a visit from an iconic life coach.
Slough’s very own David Brent offered up his time to provide his first-class expertise built up from a successful career in paper production, despite still only being in his thirties, and a documentary crew were invited to capture David at work.
The chilled-out entertainer spent the day with The Unit’s team, opening up David Brent’s Life Office within The Unit’s new hub and also had time for an insightful presentation, drawing inspiration from the likes of fictional boxer Rocky Balboa.
This was the perfect way to mark the opening of The Unit’s new office, which comes after a sustained period of success for the software development company. The Unit recently launched its services in New Jersey; announcing an agreement with PlayStar at the same time to become the online casino operator’s front end and native mobile development partner.
The Unit also recently became front end development partner for risk management supplier 10star and extended its deal with online sportsbook and casino operator BetRegal as a marketing services supplier.
Meanwhile, The Unit is partnered with the League of Ireland’s Dundalk FC as the club’s warm-up kit sponsor. Dundalk’s players were also able to meet with David and pick his brains on how to maximize performance.
Moving into a new office is the next step towards achieving further growth and this was certainly an introduction The Unit’s team will not forget in a hurry.
“I was a little confused when David arrived, but having spent time in his company, I now fully understand what it takes to be a true leader,” the Co-Founder of The Unit, Paddy Casey, said. “From now on, when people say to me ‘would you rather be thought of as a funny man or a great boss?’, my answer will always be the same; to me, they’re not mutually exclusive.
“This was the perfect way to kick things off in our new office and I’m pleased to be in a hub that reflects the high-quality standard of service we provide. We always aim to foster a creative and welcoming atmosphere that encourages the free exchange of ideas in a friendly and united environment.”
“It was great to meet The Unit’s team,” said Brent. “They’re malleable and you know that’s what I like really. I don’t like people who come here ‘Ooh, we did it this way, we did it that way’. I just wanna go do it this way. I call it ‘team individuality’. Again, guilty, unorthodox, sue me.”
