Ryan Thurburn appointed Chief Product Officer of Racecourse Media Group
Ryan Thurburn has been appointed incoming Chief Product Officer of Racecourse Media Group (RMG), the umbrella organisation for 35 British racecourse shareholders and parent company of Racing TV.
Ryan joins from BoyleSports, where he is Director of Product, and will take up the position in October.
RMG has created this important new role as part of an increasing strategic focus on the importance of using innovation to enhance engagement with horseracing and grow returns to the sport. Ryan and his team will focus on delivering the best possible customer experience through RMG’s products and enabling the business to work closely with the betting industry to create new opportunities for growth.
Ryan said: “I’m thrilled to be joining RMG, which has achieved great success through driving innovation in racing – the bedrock of the betting industry.
“As someone who has worked within betting for many years, the opportunity to influence positively the direction of the sport through product innovation, for the consumer, whilst stimulating growth for shareholders, is one that fosters excitement and passion.

Ryan has worked in the betting industry all his career, most recently as Director of Product at BoyleSports, which saw him define the first data-led product strategy, and restructure and grow the Product & UX / UI functions for the organisation. He also led multi-functional transformation activities across the business, adopting agile product development and delivery methodologies. He was previously at Entain, where he was Head of Sportsbook Product and then Director of Product for Ladbrokes Coral.

BEGE celebrates 15 years as Eastern Europe’s premier gaming expo

As always, the exhibition begins with the BEGE Awards ceremony, a symbol of recognition for innovation, outstanding achievements, and success across various sectors of the gaming industry, with awards such as “Online Provider of the Year” and “Online Game of the Year.” The awards will be presented on November 26 at an elegant dinner at Black&White club in Sofia’s Grand Hotel Millennium.
A key highlight of the program is the Proximity Zone, providing companies with additional visibility through live-streamed interviews and product presentations with leading global brands and experts.
BEGE is a must-attend event for anyone with an interest in the gaming industry. This year, more than 80 exhibitors and over 6,000 visitors from 70 countries are expected, making it a place where the passion for gaming and innovation meets business opportunities.
