Slot Spinners Treated to Two Hit Sequels to Kick Off February

In the movie business, there’s a tradition of major Hollywood studios collecting up all of their productions deemed to not be as profitable as they maybe hoped, and dumping them onto cinemas in January and February. It’s a time-honoured house-cleaning event, Forbes details, shifting on those that won’t be blockbusters or awards-winners.

Luckily for slots gamers, there isn’t such an annual tradition and studios need to keep on pumping out the hits regardless of what month it is. In February 2024, two stood out as major hits within the first week of play, coming from two world-class studios. Interestingly, both of these slots are also sequels and story continuations.

Here’s a look at these two top-ranking slots that only just hit the virtual shelves of online casinos.

Gritty Kitty of Nitropolis

The Nitropolis series has already spanned four slot games from ELK Studios. Now, to continue the story of the cyberpunk setting firmly under the thumb of Sergeant Nitro Wolf, the team will be launching five more slot games before circling back to the mainline series of Nitropolis 1-4 with Nitropolis 5, starring Nitro Wolf himself.

These new slots comprise the Battle of Nitropolis story, with each of the initial four Clan slots featuring a unique core mechanic and features, but the goal is the same in each: hunt down Sergeant Nitro Wolf. The first game is Gritty Kitty of Nitropolis, which certainly kicked the new storyline off with a bang.

In Gritty Kitty, players get 4,096 paylines initially, but can unlock up to 262,144 of them. The high-volatility slot also comes with a top prize of 25,000x, with the biggest draws of the Japanese cyberpunk game being its stack of six feature symbols, the three reel modifiers, and the progressive free spins bonus.

Players start in the free spins mode with very helpful sticky Nitro Reels and persistent reel and row expansions. Then, with the symbol landing in full, the Assassin Spins commence, giving spinners three attempts to find and collect the coins in the mini-game. It’s easy to see why it’s become such a quick favourite at the casino with the top review score from Spelaspel in ELK Studios’ native Sweden.

Money Cart 4

Said to be the last ride of the beloved bandits from Relax Gaming, Money Cart 4 looks to provide an explosive finale to the long-running slot game series. As Relax details, this final chapter comes packed with new characters, new feature combinations, and a maximum win of 15,000x, showing that the bandits won’t be going down without a fight!

New to the cast is the Arms Dealer, who’s at the ready to collect the bonus cash symbols and transform them into unique special symbols, triggering their features and special effects. The team could also call upon the locksmith known as the Unlocker to expand the playing field, or perhaps even the Upgrade, who’ll enhance regular special symbols into persistent special symbols.

It’s a slot game teeming with characters, bonuses tied to the characters, and ways to make each of them go off with a bang on this final heist. As would be expected, it’s a high-volatility slot, enabling those features to pack their maximum punch when they land.

With name recognition, superb studio backing, and stacks of features, it’s not a surprise that Money Cart 4 and Gritty Kitty of Nitropolis landed so well this February.

PRAGMATIC PLAY HITS THE SWEET SPOT WITH FRUITY TREATS

Pragmatic Play, a leading content supplier to the iGaming industry, has added Fruity Treats to its collection of clusters pays Slots.

Five or more fruit symbols must connect horizontally or vertically to award a win in this vibrant 7×7 title, which features a variation of the popular multiplier spots mechanic.

At the start of each spin, four marked spots of different colours take up random positions on the grid. If a win forms over a marked spot, a starting multiplier of 5x, 10x, 15x or 20x (depending on the spot colour) will be activated. Each time a winning combination lands on a marked spot after a tumble, the multiplier is applied to the win and then increases by its starting value.

Hitting at least three candy scatters on a spin awards entry to the bonus game with 10 free spins. During the feature, which can be retriggered with five additional free spins, activated multipliers from marked spots do not reset between free spins, potentially leading to massive wins.

Fruity Treats is the latest cluster pays Slot in Pragmatic Play’s multi-award-winning range, joining recent hit Sugar Rush 1000.

Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, said: “The roaming multiplier spots feature in Fruity Treats sets it apart from other successful cluster pays Slots in the Pragmatic Play portfolio, with marked spots staying sticky in the bonus game for even greater win potential.”

Pragmatic Play currently produces up to eight new Slot titles a month, while also delivering Live Casino and Bingo games as part of its multi-product portfolio, available through a single API.
