Raid in Bangkok casino, gamblers apprehended

A casino in Bankok whose owner encountered legal action precedingly owing to the operation of unauthorised gambling den at the same address off Ramkhamhaeng road faced a raid again and this time 141 punters were apprehended red handed.
A combined team of police accompanied by soldiers broke into the two-storey building behind a market on Ramkhamhaeng Soi 127, late night on Tuesday.
Seventy-one men and 70 women and 11 foreigners were encircled by the police at the gambling tables.
The inside of the building was refashioned as a casino and sectioned into rooms for different games, namely baccarat and high-low dice.
Investigators identified the casino owner as a man, named only as Hia To, who had been arrested in a past raid but apparently continued to operate a gambling den at the same address.
