The following are the casinos on which one can place legally approved sports bets in New Jersey.

Borgata Casino

The Borgata Casino is arguably the most popular casino in Atlantic City and was the very first casino to launch sports betting operations. The Borgata had everything in place and was ready to go live on the very first day that New Jersey legalised sports betting which was June 15.

The sports betting lounge is located adjacent to the poker room and sports bettor will enjoy the wide range of sports on offer. Borgata has teamed up with GVC Holdings to launch its sports betting platform and so far the casino has brought in $562,830 in sports betting revenue.

Golden Nugget Casino

If you are not keen on going to the Borgata, then step into the Golden Nugget casino which is not too far away from the Borgata. Golden Nugget teamed up with veteran sports betting provider SBTech and offers bettors an innovative sports betting platform with a wide range of sports.

However, do note that Golden Nugget will not be accepting any bets on the NBA. This is because Tilman Fertitta who owns the casino is also the owner of the NBA franchise ā€“ the Houston Rockets. As a result, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) does not allow the Golden Nugget to offer NBA sports betting due to the obvious conflict of interest.

Three Properties Of Caesars Entertainment

If you are a fan of Caesars or part of their loyalty membership programme, then you will be interested to know that three Caesarsā€™s properties in Atlantic City are offering sports betting. You can step into Ballyā€™s, Caesars Casino or Harrahā€™s and find the sports betting section. Caesars teamed up with Scientific Games to launch its sports betting platform in New Jersey.

Ocean Resort Casino

The name may not be familiar to a lot of people because the casino only opened its doors to the public in June. This casino is located at the site of the former Revel Casino and has partnered with UK bookmaker William Hill to offer sports betting services. It will be difficult to miss the sports betting lounge as it is located in the center of the gaming floor and covers 7500 square feet.

Ocean Resort might be the new kid on the block but that has worked in favour of the casino which brought in over $1 million in sports betting revenue in July ā€“ the highest amongst all the other sports betting establishments in New Jersey.

Resorts Casino

Resorts Casino only started accepting sports bets from August 15. The casino teamed up with DraftKings and the Stars Group to launch sports betting services. The sports lounge currently has 15 televisions, a 12 foot video wall, 4 self-service kiosks and 6 betting windows.

Online Betting

While numerous land-based casinos have launched physical sports betting operations in New Jersey, there are currently just a few online sports betting websites taking bets. Golden Nugget is one of those establishments that has online sports betting via PlaySugarHouse.com.

The Borgata also has online and mobile sports betting services up and running. Caesars Entertainment has plans to launch online and mobile sports betting services and is currently in the process of developing its software. As of now, there is no indication as to when these services will be launched.

Sports bettors who prefer going to a racetrack and placing their bets can do so by going to either Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport or the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Nebraskaā€™s First Permanent Casino to Open in May in Columbus

Nebraskaā€™s first full-fledged, newly built and state-sanctioned gambling casino is slated to open in Columbus next month, marking a milestone in the stateā€™s rollout of casino gambling.

The Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission last Friday approved a target opening date of May 13 for Harrahā€™s Columbus.

ā€œThis is a big deal,ā€ commission Chairman Dennis Lee said.

The stateā€™s three other casinos are open, but in temporary facilities. According to construction schedules, all should be open by early next year.

ā€œWeā€™re definitely excited to open the first permanent casino in the state,ā€ said Don Ostert, Harrahā€™s Columbus general manager.

The 17,000-square-foot casino floor will feature 400 slot machines and 11 live table games, including roulette and craps, Ostert said. It will feature a Brew Brothers restaurant and will offer Caesarā€™s sportsbook and racebook, Ostert said.

For racing fans, the complex will feature the stateā€™s only 1-mile horse track, though racing isnā€™t scheduled to begin until August 16. By June, officials hope to have some horses out on the track to test the new surface.

Ostert said officials hope to draw customers from Norfolk and Grand Island, but also from Omaha and Lincoln.

Columbus Mayor James Bulkley said that, from the cityā€™s standpoint, ā€œwe are very excited to see it get started and become part of the community.ā€

The developers incorporated some Columbus history into the casino, he said.

ā€œThe location where it is used to be called Wishbones, and it was a venue for years for entertainment, and so people recognize that name, and they have kept that name for the sports bar,ā€ he said.

He expects the casino will draw from Omaha. Although driving to Columbus from downtown Omaha might take close to an hour and a half, the drive from west Omaha is more like an hour, he said.

ā€œI can hit Elkhorn in a short hour today, which is now western Omaha,ā€ he said.

In a few months, Omahans wonā€™t have to leave town to visit a brand-new casino.

At Horsemenā€™s Park in Omaha, Warhorse Gaming officials are aiming to open their new casino in early August. It will open with 900 gaming positions, including table games and a Sweetwater Cafe.
