Welcome to our weekly roundup of American gambling news again! It was again an eventful week in the USA, despite the still-active virus attack.

Here, we are going through the weekly highlights of the American gambling industry which include the latest news, new partnerships and new acquisitions. Read on and get updated.

Latest News

Americas Cardroom, the US-based online poker site, is bringing back its Mini Online Super Series (MOSS) from November 22 to December 6. The series includes over 150 events, with over $2.5 million in guaranteed prize money. There are two Main Events on the docket, Sunday, November 29, and Sunday, December 6. Both start at 3 pm ET and feature $250,000 in guaranteed prize money and $55 buy-ins.

Enthusiast Gaming Holdings is preparing to list its common shares on the NASDAQ Capital Market (NASDAQ). In advance of the anticipated listing on the NASDAQ, Enthusiast Gaming will file a Form 40-F Registration Statement with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The listing of the Company’s common shares on the NASDAQ remains subject to the approval of the NASDAQ and the satisfaction of all applicable listing and regulatory requirements.

FlowPlay has announced that it has raised an additional $65,000 for the American Cancer Society (ACS) through its Vegas World in-game October fundraising campaign. The fundraiser is part of FlowPlay’s broader corporate giving programme and ongoing support for the ACS. This follows FlowPlay’s major fundraising milestone with the ACS over the summer, lifting its total raised for the organisation to $315,000.

The US gambling industry has won big at the polls, with three states authorising legal sports betting and three others either approving or expanding casino gambling. Among the states who are going to approve sports betting are Maryland, South Dakota and Louisiana. In addition, Virginia approved casino gambling in four locations, while Nebraska authorised adding casino games at its horse racing tracks, and Colorado expanded the number and type of casino games it can offer, along with eliminating some wagering limits.

Partnerships

Gaming-industry payments provider Mazooma has entered into a partnership with the leading financial data network, Plaid. The deal aims to bring an Instant Bank Transfer payment solution to igaming and sports wagering operators in certain regulated US states.

Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) has entered into a deal with the newly opened Circa Resort and Casino to supply its CPI SC Advance banknote validators and Easitrax Web Management System across the casino’s slot machines for the next seven years.

Sports streaming service DAZN has announced leading sports betting and gaming platform BetMGM as the exclusive odds provider for United States boxing broadcasts.

New Acquisitions

Affiliate marketing firm Raketech has announced an acquisition of US-based affiliate site americangambler.com (American Gambler). As a result of the acquisition, Raketech’s revenues within the US are expected to reach approximately 5-10% of the group’s total revenues in Q4 of this year. The agreed purchase price is EUR 5m.

Live audio content provider Entercom Communications Corp has acquired sports data and igaming affiliate platform QL Gaming Group in a $32m deal. The acquisition brings unrivaled data, analytics and insight-driven content to Entercom’s best-in-class sports broadcast stations, influential podcasts, and RADIO.COM, the fastest growing digital audio platform in America.

New Launchings

A new Hollywood-based esports team, which is backed by high profile celebrities, has announced its official launch. Named Team 33, the esports team is planning to enter major tournaments in popular games like Call of Duty, CS:GO, Valorant, World of Warcraft, Fortnite, League of Legends, Dota 2, Madden and FIFA. The team will have players from all over the globe.

BetMGM, a joint venture of GVC and MGM Resorts International, has successfully launched its new live casino product in partnership with Evolution. This complements BetMGM’s already market-leading gaming portfolio, and is further strengthened through the recent addition of industry-leading slot content from Playtech, DGC and Ainsworth.

Lotto.com, the first digital platform for ordering lottery tickets on any device, with no app download or deposit required, has announced its expansion into three new states: New York, Texas and Colorado.

The Sports Betting Conference Committee has reached an agreement on legislation to legalise sports betting in Massachusetts. The legislation would allow for wagering on both professional and collegiate sports in the Bay State.

Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has opened its BetRivers retail sportsbook in Maryland last week, in partnership with Bingo World, featuring 12 self-service kiosks and three over-the-counter machines on a 3000-square-foot facility.

WarHorse Gaming held its second groundbreaking during an event at Horsemen’s Park, the future site of WarHorse Omaha. The event took featured remarks from Lance Morgan, President and CEO of Ho-Chunk Inc, Garald “Wally” Wollesen, Nebraska Horsemen President, and others.

OddsJam has announced that it has completed the acquisition of OddsBoom, an odds comparison platform. The purchase will help OddsJam expand its presence as a premium content and data provider for regulated sports betting.

PLAYSTUDIOS Inc., the creator of the playAWARDS loyalty platform and an award-winning developer of free-to-play mobile and social games that offer real-world rewards to players, has launched its new blockchain division, playBLOCKS.

New Partnerships

Resorts Digital Gaming has signed a pioneering deal with casino influencer team the Slot Squad to create a unique online experience for their customers. In a first-of-its-kind partnership, the Slot Squad joins Resorts Live, a proprietary platform developed by RDG to showcase online casino games and content.

Codere presented at a press conference held at the Más Monumental stadium, its step forward in sponsorship of the Club Atlético River Plate of Argentina. The gaming operator acquires the Club’s “Main sponsor” category, being placed on the front of the official game and training shirt.

The Detroit Lions announced a partnership with Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort which includes presenting partnership on the upcoming “Inside the Den” television specials, weekly “Inside the Pride” episodes for the 2022 season as well as Power Hour presented by Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort at Ford Field on Detroit Lions gamedays.

SB22 has partnered with Optimove. The partnership demonstrates SB22’s focus on developing highly tailored promotions using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to enhance its operator portfolio’s marketing capabilities by executing sophisticated CRM Marketing campaigns.

Sirplay has partnered with blockchain sportsbook Moonbet, setting out a joint objective to internationally rollout “Web3 sports betting”.

Bally’s Corporation has announced a marketing partnership designating Bally Bet as an official sports betting partner of New York Yankees.

Catena Media has announced a significant media agreement in North America, signing a multi-year partnership with Advance Local’s NJ.com.

New Appointments

Aruze Gaming America (AGA) has appointed Kurt Hansen as its new Vice President of iGaming. His responsibilities will include building and strengthening the company’s iGaming products. He will oversee all the company’s iGaming operations as its new VP.

FanDuel Group has appointed Carolyn Renzin to the position of Chief Legal Officer. Renzin will continue in her role as Chief Compliance Officer for FanDuel Group.

Internet Vikings has launched its iGaming hosting operations in Iowa, as the company works to further develop its US presence. Established in Sweden in 2008, Internet Vikings provides hosting and marketing solutions for iGaming operators.

G2 Esports has entered into a partnership with Herman Miller Gaming. The partnership will provide G2 with Herman Miller Gaming equipment and create exclusive opportunities for the teams to collaborate on future products and research.

Betsoft Gaming has secured a content partnership with operator Condor Gaming Group’s new online casino, Gambeta10. The licensed casino will have access to Betsoft’s award-winning slots portfolio including the latest release Gemini Joker and classic comedy heist Take the Bank.

Brazilian top-flight club Fluminense has renewed its sponsorship arrangement with sports betting brand Betano. Running until June 2025, the sponsorship arrangement will focus on fan engagement, with various activations planned according to the duo, along with advertising and marketing provisions.

Pollard Banknote has appointed May Scheve Reardon as VP of government relations with responsibility for government and legislative affairs.

Bragg Gaming Group has announced that the Company’s Board of Directors has appointed Mark Clayton to the Board.

Esports portfolio company X1 Esports and Entertainment has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire digital influencer management company Tyrus Talent Services.

Casino officials for Elk Grove’s Sky River Casino have announced that the casino is set to open in early September, two months ahead of schedule. Casino officials did not specify a date in their announcement, but work on the 100,000-square-foot casino west of Highway 99 near Kammerer Road is nearly complete as hiring continues.

Caesars Entertainment has received a top score on this year’s Disability Equality Index (DEI), a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and DisabilityIN. Up from 80 on last year’s index, the company received a 100, marking it as one of the best places to work for disability inclusion.

Las Vegas Sands Corp has reported financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2022. Net revenue was $1.05 billion, compared to $1.17 billion in the prior year quarter. Operating loss was $147 million, compared to $139 million in the prior year quarter.

FanDuel Casino has chosen Mischief @ No Fixed Address as its creative agency of record. Mischief is responsible for creative duties pertaining to FanDuel Casino.

FanDuel Group is expanding its online casino offerings through the introduction of its first-ever FanDuel-branded live dealer studios in Michigan and Pennsylvania in partnership with Evolution. All of FanDuel’s live dealer games, including blackjack and roulette will now be streamed for Michigan and Pennsylvania customers directly from FanDuel’s live dealer studios.

New Partnerships

PointsBet Canada has confirmed that it will continue to support curling in Canada, agreeing to a long-term partnership with Curling Canada and the newly formed Team Bottcher. The agreement will see PointsBet Canada become the official Team Bottcher sports betting partner.

ScoreBreak has announced a new, ground-breaking agreement with Genius Sports, the exclusive distributor of official NCAA data. ScoreBreak solutions, which can be delivered to the bench, sidelines, locker-room and the booth, will be powered by official NCAA game statistics across multiple sports.

U.S. Integrity has announced a comprehensive partnership with Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment, which on February 11, 2022, launched their mobile sportsbook operation.

Jackpocket, the leading third-party app in the US to provide a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, and the New York Mets announced Jackpocket as the Official Digital Lottery Partner of the Mets.

New Appointments

Betsson has announced Zé Roberto as its newest brand ambassador. The Brazilian former football player, who has a successful career worldwide, signed a three-year global contract with all brands in Betsson Group’s portfolio.

Jackpocket has appointed iGaming veteran John Worthington as the company’s first-ever VP of Interactive Gaming.

FanDuel Group has announced two appointments reflecting each executive’s contributions to the success of the business. Effective immediately, Christian Genetski has been promoted to the role of President, FanDuel Group and Mike Raffensperger has been named to the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer.

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has appointed Ginnie Hollis as Director of Engineering. Previously, she served as Senior Manager of Engineering.
