CasinoBeats Summit 2023: SBC goes around the world with its ‘Global Casino’ conference track

The eagerly awaited 5th edition of CasinoBeats Summit is nearly upon us and is set to deliver its highly coveted ‘Global Casino’ conference track. Situated across both days of the event (24-25 May) the track will be showcasing an in-depth analysis of the ever-changing gaming industry on a global scale with roundtables and panel discussions covering jurisdictions such as Malta, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the UK and Ontario, among others.
The best and brightest minds in the casino industry will come together at the InterContinental Hotel in Malta, the hub of iGaming, to discuss the evolving landscape of iGaming. Attendees will be given the opportunity to learn and participate in an assortment of discussions, including: the navigation of restrictive markets, the intricacies of several iGaming jurisdictions, how to grow player databases and how local innovation can have a global impact.
Opening the summit will be the unique opportunity to participate in our ‘Emerging markets roundtables’, which alongside a vast array of industry experts, will be discussing everything from the technological landscape in Africa, to the value of casino expansions in a sports betting dominated LatAm market. With such a variety of industry experts, attendees will have the opportunity for an intimate and first hand account on everything they need to know about the evolving markets in LatAm, Africa and Japan.
The panel discussion “UK Focus – mitigating the increased cost of compliance” will examine how operators can intelligently adapt to continuous regulatory change and how this can be integrated into their compliance departments. The panellists include Dee Maher (Chief legal & Compliance Officer, RAW iGaming), Andrew Rhodes (CEO, UKGC) and Paul Foster (CEO, Crucial Compliance). The panel moderated by David Clifton (Director, Clifton Davies Consultancy Limited) will explore the latest flurry of changes from the review of the UK Gambling Act and discuss how compliance departments can mitigate the rising costs, with the help of various departments working harmoniously together.
Opening the second full day of the summit is the panel “Germany Focus – weathering the storm” which will discuss the much-maligned German InterState Gambling Treaty and how to navigate through it successfully. Panellists include Christian Madlindl (Managing Director, Magic Sports Media) and Sebastian Erfurth (CCO, Casino.online) with more to be announced. Moderated by Johannes Brecher (Senior Director Accounts, iGamming, Lead Link GmbH), the panel will showcase the titanic opportunity the German market holds and will look at what operators can do now to survive the current regulatory limitations whilst maintaining and building upon a loyal customer base for the future.
Closing the summit will be the panel session “Malta Focus – re-imagining iGaming’s favourite hub” where experts will discuss the tech innovations that are keeping Malta at the forefront of iGaming. With esteemed panellists including Dr Brandon Debattista (Deputy Chief Regulatory Officer, MGA) and Ivan Filletti (COO, GamingMalta), the panel aims to highlight Malta’s place in the evolution of the European regulatory landscape and how technological innovation can improve player security, transparency and protection. The panel shall be moderated by James Scicluna (Co-managing partner, WH Partners).
Other panels across the same track include deep dives into battling adversity within regional regulations, the untapped potential within the European market and the continued development of the North American and Canadian gaming landscape.
Alongside the “Global Casino” conference track, attendees of the CasinoBeats Summit can expect a vast array of expert panellists across four stages which will run simultaneously alongside a dedicated workshop area. London Blockchain Conference: Where iGaming Meets Blockchain Technology

If you are in iGaming, then you will want to attend the London Blockchain Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre (QEII) in the heart of the capital between 31 May 2023 – 2 June 2023.
The iGaming industry is characterised by its rapid growth and tech-savvy platforms; however, it continues to face issues of fairness and trust.
So how does Blockchain help iGaming? Blockchain technology can vastly improve the iGaming industry. With issues like calculating odds, protecting and paying monetary stakes, slow settlement rates and high fees, data protection and digital security player Protection, and Safer Gambling plaguing the industry, Blockchain could be its saviour.
Integrating blockchain technology in iGaming platforms works to alleviate the issues mentioned above. Simultaneously, by establishing transparency and credibility as core components, such offerings enhance the industry’s reputation. The main benefits of using Blockchain include:
- Enhanced safety and security – Security is essential across all sectors, and iGaming is no different. Blockchain technology offers the iGaming industry enhanced safety and security.
- Transparency and provable fairness – One of the biggest challenges facing every iGaming business is the question of trust. Blockchain resolves this by demonstrating a detailed, immutable account of all played games, staked bets and accounts, accessible via a public ledger.
- Speeding up transactions at minimal fees – Players shouldn’t have to wait more than a few seconds for a webpage to load or for a transaction to be processed. Blockchain makes this possible.
- Privacy and anonymity – Most players want themselves and their accounts to remain anonymous and expect confidentiality. With Blockchain, your transactions are untraceable and use a digital footprint, and keys identify users.
- Better odds and return to player – ‘The house always win’. Unlike Blockchain, decentralisation and peer-to-peer transactions are two main features; this increases the odds and the total bet amount.
- Easier auditing processes for regulators – Platform integrations with Blockchain serve operators and regulators in the iGaming. Blockchain was designed to be self-governing.
Join us at the London Blockchain conference and hear from the leading industry figures, including the Malta Gaming Authority representatives, the HM Treasury board, and the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines regarding their country’s Blockchain and Digitization Initiative.
Other key panels of interest include the Future of Blockchain Tokens and Blockchain Venture Capital Investing.
With over 140+ speakers, the three-day conference will be this year’s flagship blockchain expo for enterprise and government and will demonstrate this with insightful and engaging panels, presentations and keynotes.
As the world’s leading technology-focused blockchain event, it aims to provide an avenue to discover the current emerging trends that help bring governments and enterprises onto the blockchain. Attendees can build relationships with influencers, developers and investors in the blockchain space, including iGaming. Attend the London Blockchain Conference and learn how to harness the potential of blockchain technology.
