Betsoft Gaming Partners with Betaland

Betsoft Gaming, the world’s premier creator of mobile-friendly online casino games and 3D slots announced the signing of a new partnership deal with Betaland, the Italian operator.

Betaland, that has its target towards the strictly regulated Italian market, will be enlarging their overall offering on their popular sites betaland.it and enjoybet.it.

The terms of this partnership will enable these two well-known sites to feature Betsoft’s robust collection of slots3 videoslots, including Fire & Steel, Giovanni’s Gems and The Angler.

“Betaland is a relatively young operation, but already they are considered to be a prominent and respected force in the Italian iGaming market,” said Francesca Raniolo, the sales executive with Betsoft Gaming.

Melco Suspends Operations of its Cyprus Casinos

Cyprus Casinos, the subsidiary of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, has temporarily closed its five casinos in Cyprus for four weeks following a ruling by the Council of Ministers to suspend operations of certain private businesses.

The closure relates to Melco’s C2 Ayia Napa, C2 Nicosia, C2 Larnaca, C2 Paphos and C2 Limassol.

“In these challenging times that call for extreme measures, we rally behind the Government of Cyprus and the actions implemented to curb the spread of COVID-19. We fully support the decision to temporarily suspend the operation of entertainment facilities across the country in the best interest of all. We are also standing alongside our local partners and the entire tourism industry who have prioritized the safety of their personnel and guests with the utmost responsibility to safeguard their health,” Andy Choy, Melco COO International, said.

Melco said it will continue to implement stringent cleaning and disinfection protocols over the coming weeks.

The National Betting Authority of Cyprus is planning to establish a new gambling addiction centre in July.

The government has offered the National Betting Authority an additional amount of €1m for promoting and strengthening rehabilitation programmes.

The National Betting Authority has conducted interactive seminars and workshops for underage people, cautioning them against the pitfalls of compulsive online betting.

The authority has also launched an app that allows people to set a limit on themselves regarding the time spent on gambling websites.

Melco Resorts & Entertainment Opens its Fourth Satellite Casino in Cyprus

Melco Resorts & Entertainment has opened its fourth and final satellite casino “C2 Paphos” in Cyprus. The new casino is located in the island’s main tourist area of Geroskipou, near Paphos International Airport.

C2 Paphos offers 50 gaming machines, a bar and on-site parking for guests. It employs 25 staff, with limited operating hours between 4 pm and 3 am on weekdays, 4 pm to 6 am on Saturdays and 6 am to 3 am on Sundays. The casino will be open 24 hours on public holidays.

Melco is also operating a temporary casino in Limassol while it develops the €550 million City of Dreams Mediterranean.

“We are delighted to be launching our fourth and last satellite casino after the opening of C2 Limassol, the first licensed casino on the island, in June 2018. We strongly believe that C2 Paphos will further enhance the local touristic experience and attract more visitors to the district not only from Cyprus but also from abroad,” Craig Ballantyne, Property President of City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos, said.
