NetEnt, leading provider of digital casino solutions, has entered into an agreement to supply its award-winning online casino games to Sweden’s main horse racing operator AB Trav och Galopp (ATG), as the new Swedish gambling law takes effect on January 1st, 2019.

ATG was founded in 1974 and will be one of Sweden’s largest gaming operators on the re-regulated market. The company is owned by the Swedish Trotting Association and the Swedish Jockey Club, with the aim of guaranteeing long-term financial stability for trotting and thoroughbred racing.

On June 7th, 2018, the Swedish parliament, Riksdagen, approved the re-regulation of Sweden’s gambling market. Henrik Fagerlund, MD NetEnt Malta Ltd. and Chief Product Officer of NetEnt comments: “I am very proud that we are partnering up with ATG for the new Swedish regulated market. ATG has a very strong brand in Sweden, and with our experience in online casino and regulated markets I am confident that we can support ATG in their ambitions to grow outside of horse racing.”

The commercial launch of NetEnt’s online games with ATG is expected in the beginning of 2019.

NetEnt-Narcos video slot
Reading Time: 2 minutes

The gripping game recreates the dark story of El Patrón and is based on the worldwide TV hit series Narcos

The character of notorious gangster El Patrón, the brutal boss of the Medellin Cartel, takes centre stage in NetEnt’s latest blockbuster branded title, Narcos.

Based on the multi-award-winning crime drama from Gaumont, the five-reel, three-row video slot with 243 bet ways has the battle between the police, DEA and drug lords as its backdrop. It is set in the 1980s, as the scale and influence of the drug war reached its peak.

Narcos comes with Free Spins, where on every spin there is a chance that one or more high value symbols turn into Wilds. When Wilds are part of a win, they start walking the reel moving one step to the left with every spin which gives this game potential high-stakes pay-outs.

In addition to Free Spins, the game is packed with a variety of other features, including:

  • The random Drive-By feature, which transforms some of the high value symbols into Wild symbols.
  • The infamous Locked Up feature, which is triggered by three Locked up symbols landing on the same row, locks up random coin win symbols as well as the golden briefcase which delivers either multipliers, upgrades or big coin wins.
  • The main game also includes Walking Wilds, which remain on the reels while a player is winning and move one place to the left with each spin.

“Since we first announced the deal with Gaumont to bring Narcos to the reels, the anticipation among players and our operator partners has been huge. We are confident that the game will more than live up to its lofty expectations and add an exciting new option to our unbeatable branded catalogue,” said Bryan Upton, NetEnt Director of Games.

Evolution USA, the global master licensing and brand management agent for Narcos, brokered the license agreement between the parties.

Gaumont is the studio behind the hit show Narcos which was originally released in August 2015.

Superhero characters take on the evil villain Deep Pockets and attempt to stop his reign of terror.

Set in a dystopian futuristic world, and steeped in the occult, NetEnt’s latest release is a 5-reel, 3-row, 20-line video slot where four fearless friends set out to protect their city from the wicked Deep Pockets – and destroy the scatter symbol that turned him into an evil maniac.

The heroes – Flare, Chronos, Zero.x and Psyop – bring their unique super powers to the reels to grant players stacked wilds, multipliers, multiplying re-spins and overlay wilds in the battle to beat the villain.

After the four mini-features comes the big showdown with Deep Pockets in Free Spins.

Every time the bald baddie is beaten by one of the fearless foursome, a bet line multiplier increases, giving up to four times the bet line win. If all heroes defeat Deep Pockets a Sweet Victory bonus is rewarded.

“Combining a proven, player-favourite math model with rich, comic-like graphics and a compelling superhero storyline, Arcane Reel Chaos has the ingredients needed to be a success. I have no doubts that it will be a hugely popular new addition to our portfolio,” said Bryan Upton, NetEnt director of games.
